Should a situation develop due to the death of the licence holder or the expiry of a licence it is essential that the local police firearms department are informed immediately and either application made for a temporary licence or weapons transferred to the care of a RFD or appropriate licence holder.

A strict protocol for thr transfer of ownership must be followed. Horners have long established experience of procedures and will complete all the necessary paperwork, and notifications in accordance with the regualtions, on your behalf at no extra cost. When arranging delivery of your shotguns and air weapons it is always advisable to call beforehand and arrange an appointment. Please bring with you any applicable licences for inspection and remember to sleeve your weapons for safe transportation.
