Our general country auctions will now be held every two weeks as a temporary measure as we work with the current social distancing regulations. We are working towards bringing normality back to our auctions by following the strict regulations put in place by the government to keep our valued staff and customers safe.

In order for our General Auctions to be able to take place, we will be offering VIEWING ALL DAY on the WEDNESDAY, the day before the auction,  BETWEEN 10AM AND 4PM, to allow people to socially distance whilst viewing. Due to social distancing, we can only allow limited numbers of people in the saleroom at anyone time. This will mean at busy times we ask that you queue outside, while still observing the 2m rule.

Hand sanitiser will be available for your use, before entering the saleroom.  We ask, if possible face coverings and disposable gloves to be worn when inside the buildings.

Our auctions will be held ‘LIVE ONLINE’, allowing buyers to login and bid on items included in the auction, without attending.

Unfortunately, at present, we CANNOT allow buyers to attend the auction site on a Thursday, either to bid or preview the auction due to social distancing regulations.

Our live auctions will be conducted through THE-SALEROOM.COM  where buyers can register, watch and listen to the auctions live; and bid as if they were attending.

Lots from 1000 upwards are not included in the live online auction. To bid for these lots, written commission bids can be left. If you are successful you will be notified by telephone.

Buyers will be able to leave commission bids on items in the auction by either:

  • FILLING OUT A FORM WHEN VIEWING,
  • LEAVING BIDS VIA OUR ONLINE COMMISSION BID FORM, OR
  • LEAVING BIDS THROUGH OUR ONLINE BIDDING FACILITIES THAT CAN BE FOUND AT LIVE AUCTION CATALOGUE & REGISTRATION

THE-SALEROOM.COM have a fee of 5% +VAT on the hammer price to use their services to bid on lots included in our auctions.

The Buyers’ Premium for our general country auctions is 15% +VAT charged on the hammer price of each Lot.

COLLECTING YOUR PURCHASES

If you are successful in purchasing items in our auction, we ask for collection within 2 working days of the auction finishing.

If you have won lots through commission bids we will ask to take payment when collecting.

If you have won lots through THE-SALEROOM.COM or our website we will ask to take payment from the registered card.

When arriving on site to collect your goods, we have designated loading bays where you may park your vehicle. We ask you to REMAIN IN YOUR VEHICLE until approached by a member of our staff.

 

DELIVERING ITEMS FOR AUCTION

We will accept auction entries on Mondays, Tuesdays & Fridays between 9:30am and 4pm. Please telephone in advance to discuss auction entries.

We are unable to accept low value or unsaleable items for auction.

Vendors commission – 16% + VAT

 

ENTRY TO OFFICE

For the safety of our customer and staff, we will only allow one person into the office at a time.  Please respect this and also keep to the 2m distancing rule.
